Hear from our recent grad vets about living and working in Deni…

Working at Deni Vet Clinic as a new grad has been a great experience! We have a high standard of care and varied caseload with a super supportive and collaborative team and awesome support staff making the days both fun and interesting. The town has such a relaxed lifestyle and friendly community, there’s always something to do with the river close by, multiple sporting clubs and gyms and plenty of places to grab a drink with friends. Dr Eliza Ryan, Veterinarian.

“It’s been great becoming a part of a culturally iconic, vibrant country town. Even better, I’ve been able to do so within a clinic with exceptional standards of care and a management team that has been supportive of my learning journey”.  Dr Sophia Johnson, Veterinarian

Our team offers high standards of care to companion animals with a busy caseload of medicine, surgery and reproduction.  Plus, we see the varied range of interesting emergency work that comes with rural practise.

There is extensive work catering for the needs of beef cattle and sheep clients as well as a growing equine component. The practice offers sheep and cattle animal health programs, regular beef group meetings, along with bull testing, ultrasound pregnancy diagnosis and disease investigation.

The clinic is architecturally designed, purpose-built and has all modern equipment and dedicated facilities with digital x-ray, a full IDEXX suite, numerous ultra-sounds, scopes and surgical equipment. The team takes pride in the standard of their facilities and service.

The practice is part of the Apiam Animal Health family, providing a range of continuing education opportunities and access to many vets who are leaders in their field. There is extensive professional collaboration in a variety of species. The Southern Riverina region of clinic locations provides opportunity for development of skills and special interests within a wider group.

Most importantly, we are a culture-focused team who has recently been awarded our AVA Employer of Choice accreditation.

Our vets are actively involved with supporting undergraduate vet students.  We regularly host students on placement and we participate in student association initiatives such as rural prac weekends, transition to practice sessions, halfway celebrations etc.  We love showing students how great it is to work in mixed rural practice.

We are seeking a like-minded vet to join our team.  Ideally you have 2 or more years of experience and would like to continue growing your areas of interest with our support.  You are the type of vet who is self-motivated, a “do-er”, and who is willing to give most things a go, knowing that help is always at hand.

New and recent graduates who appreciate a supportive learning environment and having experienced mentors are welcome to apply.

We work a 9 day fortnight (76 hours). We provide a work vehicle, mobile phone, AVA membership, VSB registration, assistance with CE and support for development of special interests, paid volunteer leave, paid parental leave, an extra paid day off to say “thanks”, plus many other company perks.
