Hunter Equine Centre are looking for experienced enthusiastic, friendly and dedicated equine veterinary nurses to join our rapidly expanding hospital team in Scone, NSW this foaling season.
Our practice has an excellent, new facility at the Scone Racetrack and we are lucky to service some of the best Thoroughbred studs in the region, as well as many excellent racing trainers and pre-trainers in the area.

Our ideal candidate
…would be an experienced, qualified equine veterinary nurse who would assist the hospital and report directly to the Head Nurse and Hospital Director. Experience in either surgical or intensive care nursing is essential.
The role would be primarily hospital based incorporating nursing care of critically ill neonates, surgical nursing and post-operative patients. Occasional assistance with general tasks such as laboratory work, endoscopy, radiography, lameness workup would be required in addition to assistance with organisation/ordering for the pharmacy, surgical equipment and general equipment.
The role will require excellent inter-personal and communication skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and dedication to providing the gold standard of care to every patient.
Overtime is paid in addition.
